Whitney Cowing
Whitney Cowing is a painter and designer who employs images of engine components to explore the process of work and personal connections. Her work has been discussed in the Boston Globe, the San Francisco Chronicle, Food and Wine Magazine, and on PBS.

Her artwork has been exhibited in galleries and art fairs in London, New York, Los Angeles, Aspen, San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami. In addition to many private commissions, the Alameda County Arts Commission has purchased her work. She was also chosen by Pulte Homes to design the glass canopy for the “ Glashaus Building” in Emeryville California.


Whitney Cowing received her BA from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut. She also attended the San Francisco Art Institute and the Cleveland Institute of Art in Florence, Italy. Whitney lives and works in Oakland, California.
